IESCO Announces Power Outage Schedule for Sunday, January 10

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a planned power outage schedule for Sunday, January 10, across multiple areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to maintenance and routine development work. The scheduled shutdowns aim to improve system reliability and ensure smooth electricity supply in the future.

According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity will remain suspended from 9:00am to 2:00pm in parts of the Rawalpindi Cantt Circle, including areas served by the Rawalpindi-III, VIP, and Hamyoun Road feeders. During the same time, outages will also affect areas under the GSO Circle, including F-6/2, PM Secretariat, CBR, PM Staff Colony, Blue Area, OGDC, Quaid-e-Azam University, Saudi Embassy, and Residential Staff Embassy.

From 9:00am to 3:00pm, power supply will remain disrupted in areas connected to the Jahangir Road, MSF, Rahimabad, Khanna Road, CNC, Gulistan Colony, Topi Pump, and APHS feeders. Meanwhile, a shorter outage from 11:00am to 12:00 noon is scheduled for areas supplied by the RIC, Benazir Bhutto, Chaklala Garrison, Gangal, Makkah Chowk, Sector-4, Humayun Road, Rehmatabad-2, and Rawalpindi-3 feeders.

Additionally, electricity will remain suspended from 9:00am to 4:00pm in areas connected to the G Block, N Block, Small Industries-1, Multi Orchard, Mix Industries, Jhang, Wah General Hospital, Model Town, A-Block, I-Block, Kohistan Enclave, Kashif Gul, Bhrama, City Arcade, Barbaqi, Bahtar More, and Dhrek feeders, along with nearby localities.

IESCO management apologized for the inconvenience and stated that power supply may be restored earlier than scheduled if maintenance work is completed ahead of time. Consumers are advised to plan accordingly and follow official updates.
