The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has officially defined the screening test syllabus and examination pattern for the Analyst post 2026. Candidates applying for the Analyst position must prepare according to the prescribed syllabus, which is designed to assess analytical ability, general aptitude, current awareness, and subject-related knowledge.
The Analyst screening test will be conducted in MCQ format with a strong emphasis on GAT-General concepts and current affairs, along with a subject-specific portion related to the candidate’s academic background.
Ministry of Defence Analyst Test – Syllabus Weightage
The screening test syllabus is divided into two major sections:
1. GAT General & Current Affairs – 70%
- This is the most important portion of the test and includes:
