The Punjab Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, following directives from the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA), has announced that only the Class 9 Computer Science textbook will be changed for the academic session 2026–27.
According to the official notification, the Apex Committee on Academic Affairs (ACAA) decided to retain all existing textbooks for the upcoming academic year, except for Grade 9 Computer Science and Entrepreneurship. The move aims to correct identified content issues while maintaining stability in the overall curriculum.
Which Class 9 Books Will Be Updated
The textbook revision applies to the following Class 9 Computer Science titles:
- Computer Science & Entrepreneurship – Grade 9 (English Medium)
- Computer Science & Entrepreneurship – Grade 9 (Urdu Medium)
- Computer Science & Entrepreneurship (Tech) – Grade 9 (English Medium)
- Computer Science & Entrepreneurship (Tech) – Grade 9 (Urdu Medium)
PECTAA stated that these books contained content errors, and their page count has also been revised, making updates necessary before printing.

No Change in Other Subjects
The notification clearly confirms that all other subjects and grade-level textbooks will remain unchanged for the 2026–27 academic session. This decision is intended to reduce confusion among students and teachers and ensure continuity in teaching and learning.
