Students across Punjab have received major relief as the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) Colleges announced flexibility in college uniforms due to severe cold weather. The decision has been taken to safeguard students’ health and ensure comfort during the ongoing winter spell.
According to the official notification, students are now allowed to wear sweaters, coats, jackets, caps, and socks of any color, temporarily relaxing uniform restrictions. The directive will remain effective until February 28, allowing students to cope better with low temperatures.

Education officials stated that colleges have been instructed to strictly implement the notification and not penalize students for wearing winter clothing. Parents and students have welcomed the move, calling it a practical step to prioritize well-being during extreme weather conditions.
