The Karachi Marathon 2026 is set to bring thousands of runners to the city’s iconic coastline as participants of all ages take part in one of Pakistan’s biggest running events. From professional athletes to families and fitness enthusiasts, the marathon highlights Karachi’s growing running culture and community spirit.
The event, themed “Run for Karachi,” will transform Sea View and surrounding roads into a scenic racecourse, offering runners a flat, fast, and internationally certified route.
Karachi Marathon 2026 Date and Timings
The Karachi Marathon 2026 will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Runners participating in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and Relay races must report at Nishan-e-Pakistan, Sea View, by 5:00 AM, with races starting at 6:30 AM.
Participants in the 5K Fun Run and Family Pack are required to report by 9:00 AM, while their race will begin at 10:00 AM.
Route Details and Certification
The marathon route is flat and scenic, making it ideal for runners aiming to achieve personal best timings. The race begins at Nishan-e-Pakistan, continues along Sea View Road toward the Clock Tower, and then passes through Abdul Sattar Edhi Avenue, Emaar, and Do Darya Road.
Full marathon runners will take a U-turn near the DHA Golf Club before returning to the finish line. Organizers have confirmed that the route is World Athletics Certified, ensuring it meets international standards.

Prize Money and Runner Benefits
The official prize money for Karachi Marathon 2026 has not yet been announced, but organizers have promised attractive cash prizes. In previous editions, full marathon winners received prizes of up to Rs. 500,000.
All runners who complete their races will receive a finisher medal, an official event T-shirt, and a timing chip for accurate performance tracking.
Registration Status and Results
Registration for the Karachi Marathon 2026 closed in late December 2025. The registration fee was Rs. 5,500 for the main races and Rs. 3,000 for the 5K run.
After the race, participants can check their results and timing certificates online through the Intralaps website, which handles official race timing and rankings.
