PECTAA Issues Instructions for Verification of Grade 8 Exam Centers 2026

The Punjab Education Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has issued official instructions for the verification of clusters, examination centers, and school mapping for the Grade 8 annual examinations 2026 across Punjab. The directive aims to ensure smooth exam conduct, better logistics, and standardized assessment procedures before the start of the examinations.

According to the instructions, separate examination centers must be allocated for boys and girls, while the distance between a school and its assigned exam center must not exceed 8 kilometers. PECTAA has also set a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 300 students per examination center to avoid overcrowding and ensure effective supervision.

The authority has further clarified that if a school is designated as an examination center, its own students will not appear at the same school, a move intended to enhance transparency and fairness. This policy is part of broader efforts to strengthen the credibility of elementary-level examinations.

PECTAA has directed District Education Officers (CEOs) to complete the verification process by the end of office hours on the same day, stressing timely compliance to prevent any disruption in the Grade 8 examinations 2026.
