The Punjab government has officially launched Phase III of the Green Tractor Scheme, aiming to support farmers by providing heavily subsidized tractors to improve agricultural productivity and promote modern farming practices across the province.
The initiative, introduced through the Punjab Agriculture Department under the supervision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen the agriculture sector and provide direct financial relief to farmers.
Key Highlights of Green Tractor Scheme Phase III
Under the latest phase of the scheme:
- 10,000 tractors will be distributed across Punjab
- Each selected farmer will receive a subsidy ranging from Rs. 50 to Rs. 65 lakh
- The scheme targets small and medium farmers
- Distribution will be conducted through a transparent and merit-based process
Officials said the subsidy will significantly reduce the cost of farm mechanization and help farmers improve efficiency, reduce manual labor, and increase crop yields.
Application Schedule and Process
The Punjab Agriculture Department has announced the following timeline:
- Online applications start: January 6, 2026
- Last date to apply: January 20, 2026
Farmers can submit applications through the official government portals:
- www.agripunjab.gov.pk
- gts.punjab.gov.pk
Applicants are advised to complete the online form carefully and ensure all required information is accurate to avoid disqualification.

Eligibility Criteria for Farmers
To qualify for Phase III of the Green Tractor Scheme, applicants must:
- Be a resident of Punjab
- Own or cultivate agricultural land as per scheme requirements
- Meet the minimum and maximum landholding criteria set by the Agriculture Department
- Be registered as a farmer in official government records
Final eligibility verification will be carried out by the department before tractor allocation.
Selection and Distribution Mechanism
Officials said tractor allocation will be completed through:
- Verification of submitted data
- Scrutiny of land ownership records
- Transparent selection procedures approved by the government
The department emphasized that no middlemen or agents are involved, and farmers should rely only on official platforms.
